About Kate Spade
Katherine Noel Brosnahan truly has the passion for bags and accessories.
She started in 1986 in Mademoiselle Magazine and went on to become their Head of Accessories as well as Senior Fashion Editor a few years later.
The exposure she got at Mademoiselle ultimately led her to starting the Kate Spade Label.
Kate Spade aka Katherine Noel Brosnahan was inspired to start up a line of handbags that she saw lacking then. Kate Spade saw the demand for tasteful yet practical bags that could cater to the mass market. Upon leaving, Kate Spade started her own shop selling purely handbags and later went on to include stationeries, clothes and other accessories.
About Jack Spade
The line, Jack Spade, was created by Andy Spade, Kate Spade’s husband and long time sweetheart. Jack Spade started in 1996 when Andy Spade realised the demand for practical yet stylish bags for men too. His line aims to offer honest, thoughtful design alongside practical purposes.
